I’m Amanda McKinney, faithful servant, wife, mother and current Yakima County Commissioner, running for Congress to deliver proven, common-sense conservative leadership to Washington, D.C. I was raised in a family rooted in faith, agriculture, respect for law and order and service to our country. I’ve fought tirelessly for our Central Washington values: individual freedoms, strong families, thriving agriculture, fiscal accountability, and support for first responders. From my banking career to county leadership, I’ve achieved real results—challenging COVID overreach, securing water resources, preventing fraud, and advocating for rural communities at the state and national levels.

Amanda McKinney is running for Congress to defend Central Washington and put America First. Her priorities are grounded in faith, family, agriculture, public safety, and freedom. She believes the role of government is to protect citizens, not control them, and that decisions should be made by the people closest to the consequences, not by distant bureaucrats in Washington, D.C.

As a Yakima County Commissioner and former banker, Amanda has proven she is willing to stand up to government overreach, challenge failed policies, and deliver results. In Congress, she will stand with President Donald Trump to secure the border, restore energy independence, protect constitutional rights, rein in spending, and fight for farmers, families, and rural communities.

  • Amanda McKinney believes a nation without borders is not a nation. She supports President Trump’s commitment to border security and enforcing immigration law.

    Failed federal policies have fueled fentanyl trafficking, human smuggling, and violent crime that reaches deep into American communities. Amanda will fight for strong border enforcement, accountability, and an immigration system that puts American safety and sovereignty first.

    In Congress, she will support policies that secure the border, strengthen national defense, and uphold the rule of law.

  • Amanda McKinney believes women and girls deserve fairness, safety, and equal opportunity.

    She supports protecting Title IX and ensuring that women’s sports remain for biological females. Amanda will oppose policies that undermine women’s athletics or erase biological reality in the name of ideology.

    This is about protecting opportunities for girls, not politics.

  • Agriculture is the backbone of Central Washington and a pillar of American strength. Amanda McKinney knows that family farms and ranches feed this nation and should never be sacrificed to radical environmental agendas or foreign competition.

    As a county commissioner, Amanda pushed back against federal overreach that threatened farmers, dairies, and ranchers with one-size-fits-all regulations written by people who have never worked the land. In Congress, she will fight to roll back burdensome regulations, protect working lands, and ensure farmers have a voice at the table.

    A strong agricultural sector is essential to food security, economic independence, and national security. Amanda believes America should feed itself first.

  • Public safety is not optional. As the daughter of a retired law enforcement officer, Amanda McKinney has always backed the men and women who keep our communities safe.

    She has supported sheriff resources, K-9 units, emergency communications upgrades, and investments in public safety infrastructure. Amanda rejects anti-police rhetoric and policies that embolden criminals and endanger families.

    In Congress, she will fight to restore law and order, dismantle fentanyl trafficking networks, and ensure law enforcement has the tools they need to do their jobs safely and effectively.

  • Water is life in Washington’s 4th District. Amanda McKinney has led on water policy by defending senior water rights, expanding storage, and advancing locally driven solutions that support agriculture, growth, and community protection.

    She supported the Yakima Basin Integrated Plan, helped establish a county water bank through senior water rights acquisition, and backed flood control and infrastructure investments to protect homes, farms, and businesses. Amanda believes water policy must respect property rights and local needs, not be dictated by federal agencies.

    In Congress, she will fight for commonsense water policy that protects farmers, communities, and Central Washington’s future.

  • Amanda McKinney is a staunch defender of the Second Amendment and the constitutional rights of law-abiding Americans. Raised in a family deeply rooted in responsible firearm ownership, her father has been a federally licensed firearms dealer for more than 40 years. That experience instilled in Amanda a deep respect for safety, responsibility, and a faithful understanding of our constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms.

    As a county commissioner, Amanda has testified against gun control laws that punish responsible citizens, impose financial barriers on working families, and fail to stop criminals. She believes the answer to violent crime is enforcing the law, not disarming lawful Americans.

    In Congress, Amanda will oppose unconstitutional gun control and stand firm in defense of the right of Americans to protect themselves, their families, and their communities.

  • Energy independence is national security. Amanda McKinney supports American energy dominance through hydropower, nuclear energy, natural gas, and responsible domestic production.

    She opposes radical energy mandates that raise costs, destabilize the grid, and hurt farmers, families, and small businesses. Amanda believes America should never depend on foreign adversaries for energy.

    In Congress, she will fight for affordable, reliable energy, protect jobs, and put American workers first.

  • Amanda McKinney has a proven record of holding government accountable. She exposed flawed COVID data that kept Central Washington locked down and helped uncover millions of dollars in fraudulent aid claims, protecting taxpayers.

    She believes federal agencies must follow the law and answer to the people. In Congress, Amanda will work to rein in unelected bureaucrats, restore transparency, and end the weaponization of government against citizens.

    Government should serve the people, not rule them.
